Nicholas Pooran Loses His Cool: Furious Glove Throw in Dressing Room-Watch

In a heated moment during the IPL 2025 match between Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Monday, Nicholas Pooran was seen losing his temper in the dressing room. The West Indian batter was visibly frustrated after an unfortunate sequence of events on the field.

It all started with Pooran being involved in a run-out situation with Abdul Samad. Samad’s quick thinking led to the dismissal of Shardul Thakur, but the chaos didn’t end there. Pooran, who had been hoping to make a strong impact at the crease, was bowled out shortly after. His frustration reached a boiling point, and in a fit of anger, he tossed his gloves across the dressing room.

Despite a strong start to their innings, with Mitchell Marsh and Aiden Markram putting on a solid opening partnership of 115 runs, LSG could not capitalize on the momentum. Marsh’s 65 and Markram’s 61 were followed by Pooran’s quick-fire 45 off just 26 balls, but it wasn’t enough. LSG ended their innings with a total of 205/7, setting a challenging target for SRH.

In response, SRH chased down the total with ease, securing a 6-wicket victory over LSG, which also sealed their fate, making them the fifth team to bow out of the IPL 2025 play-off race. Pooran’s outburst highlighted the immense pressure players face in crucial matches, especially when the stakes are high.

The match marked a bitter end for LSG’s hopes, and Pooran’s anger was a reflection of the frustration shared by many of his teammates, as they missed out on a play-off spot after a promising start to the season.
