Pakistan Announces 15-Member Squad For ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 Qualifier

March 26, 2025: Pakistan has announced its 15-player squad for the upcoming ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 Qualifier, set to take place in Pakistan from April 9-19. As the host nation, Pakistan will compete in the six-team tournament for one of the last two spots in the 13th edition of the 50-over Women’s World Cup later this year.

Notably, the squad is missing bowling all-rounder Nida Dar, who was part of the initial 19 players selected for the training camp but did not make the final cut for the qualifier. Meanwhile, pace all-rounder Fatima Sana will continue to lead the team after her successful captaincy in the previous ICC Women’s T20 World Cup.

In an encouraging return, Shawaal Zulfiqar, who has been absent from the national side since 2023 due to a shoulder injury, makes her comeback to the team. The 15-player squad for Pakistan includes:

The qualifying tournament will be held in a round-robin format, with each team playing against every other team once. The top two teams from the competition will earn a spot in the 2025 Women’s Cricket World Cup in India.
