May 20, 2025: In a tense IPL 2025 match between Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH), LSG skipper Rishabh Pant found himself in the middle of a confusing DRS moment that sparked animated discussions on the field.

The incident occurred in the third over of SRH’s chase, when LSG appealed for a caught behind against Ishan Kishan. The ball had passed perilously close to the bat, but the on-field umpire remained unmoved. What followed was a moment of chaos.

There was initial confusion over who had taken the review — was it Pant for a catch, or Kishan for a wide? The uncertainty led to a lengthy conversation between Pant and the umpire, as the two tried to clear up the situation.
It was later confirmed that Pant had called for the review, expecting a nick. However, UltraEdge revealed no contact with the bat, leading to the review being lost. To make matters worse for LSG, since no edge was detected, the delivery was ruled a wide.
The drama didn’t impact the flow of the match significantly, but the unusual review moment added to the tension of a high-stakes game. Rishabh Pant’s passionate approach once again made headlines — this time, for a DRS gone wrong.
