Rohit Sharma Acknowledges Upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy Series Against Australia Will Be A Challenge

November 3, 2024: Rohit Sharma has acknowledged the challenges ahead for India in the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia, particularly after a disappointing home series loss to New Zealand.

Speaking after the third Test, where India fell short by 25 runs, Rohit emphasized the need for the team to keep things simple and maintain focus as they prepare for a different ball game in Australia.

He noted that creating a supportive environment for younger players will be crucial, especially since the senior members of the team have previously experienced success in Australia. Rohit expressed confidence in his team’s abilities, recalling that India has won the last four series against Australia, including two series victories on Australian soil.

The BGT series is set to begin on November 22 in Perth, with the first Test promising to be a significant test of skill and resilience.
