October 15, 2024: Ahead of the upcoming Test series against New Zealand, India’s Test and ODI captain, Rohit Sharma, shared his thoughts on young batter Yashasvi Jaiswal, praising his impressive adaptation to international cricket and highlighting his significant potential.

Rohit expressed that he is not surprised by Jaiswal’s rapid success, noting, “He has real talent and the game to play in all sorts of conditions.” He commended the young player for managing himself well in various situations, despite his age, stating that Jaiswal possesses all the necessary attributes for success at the international level.
The captain emphasized the importance of Jaiswal’s self-management in the coming years, saying, “He can do wonders for the team. Having played a lot of domestic and Under-19 cricket, where he has succeeded, it’s clear why he’s now playing for India.” Rohit highlighted that Jaiswal has already demonstrated his capabilities in his short career and has performed exceptionally well.
Rohit also mentioned the strategic advantage of having a left-handed batter like Jaiswal in the team. He described Jaiswal as an aggressor who is always eager to learn and improve his skills. “The mindset he has shown, always wanting to learn, always striving to improve and not being content with his achievements is remarkable,” Rohit noted.
