“Roza Hai, Warna…”: Shoaib Akhtar Warns Sehwag Over ‘300’ Jibe

Former Pakistani pacer Shoaib Akhtar says he’s “fed up” with Virender Sehwag’s repeated mentions of his iconic triple century — and issues a cheeky warning in Ramadan spirit.

March 23, 2025: The on-field rivalry may be history, but the banter between cricket legends is still going strong off the field.

Former Pakistan pacer Shoaib Akhtar has playfully lashed out at Virender Sehwag for his “300, 300, 300” obsession — referencing Sehwag’s iconic triple century in Multan during India’s 2004 tour of Pakistan.

In a video posted on Instagram, Akhtar declared, “Roza hai, warna… (I’m fasting, otherwise…),” adding he’s had enough of Sehwag’s repeated references to the milestone. “Man, I’m fed up of hearing the same tape for 20 years — ‘300, 300, 300’! Brother, you played brilliantly, no doubt. But please, give it a rest.”

The jibe comes after Sehwag appeared in a light-hearted commercial with Mandira Bedi and Sahiba Bali, cheekily captioned: “Ek triple centurion ke handle se ad post ho raha hai.” The post clearly hit a nostalgic nerve.

Shoaib responded with typical flair:
“@fwd waalo, next ad mein kisi stylish bande ko lena (DMs are open, by the way),” he joked, before throwing in one final dig — “If you want an entry in the Guinness World Records, I can get it done: ‘Person who says 300 the most – Virender Sehwag!’”

Akhtar signed off with a reminder of his own legacy:
“If you want to talk about real records, just talk to me. You know which one I mean…”

The banter is rooted in one of Indian cricket’s most iconic moments. Sehwag’s 309 at Multan made him the first Indian to score a triple century in Tests — a record that still lives large in cricketing folklore.

While the “Rawalpindi Express” may be fasting, he’s clearly not slowing down when it comes to keeping Sehwag on his toes!
