“Team Work Makes the Dream Work”: Preity Zinta Cheers For Punjab Kings After Dominant Win Over RCB

April 19, 2025: Bollywood actress and Punjab Kings co-owner Preity Zinta is riding high on her team’s strong performance in the ongoing IPL 2025 season. After a shaky start, the Punjab Kings (PBKS) seem to have found their rhythm — winning back-to-back games, including a dominant victory over Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in a rain-shortened clash in Bengaluru on Friday night.

The match, reduced to 14 overs per side due to persistent showers, saw PBKS put on a clinical display of bowling and chase. After restricting RCB to 95/9, the Kings chased down the modest target in just 12.1 overs, with Nehal Wadhera playing a composed finishing role.

As has become her tradition, Preity Zinta took to Instagram shortly after the win to applaud her team’s effort. Sharing a celebratory post, she wrote:

The post quickly went viral, reflecting the excitement among PBKS fans and followers who have long awaited consistent performances from the franchise.

PBKS captain Shreyas Iyer was equally upbeat at the post-match presentation. Reflecting on the unpredictable nature of T20 cricket, he said:

“Variety is the spice of life, and we are here to experience all kinds of games; it’s a great challenge.”

He also shed light on his tactical choices during the game, revealing that most of them were instinct-driven:

“There was no thinking to be honest, I was just taking instinctive moves. I just didn’t want new batters to come in and settle in. Jansen was getting a lot of bounce, and he was bowling lethally.”

With strong performances from bowlers like Yuzvendra Chahal, Arshdeep Singh, Marco Jansen, Harpreet Brar, and Xavier Bartlett, PBKS’s bowling unit looks sharp and well-balanced. The momentum now seems firmly in Punjab’s corner as they gear up to face RCB again in their upcoming match — a quick rematch that promises to be fiery.

As fans look forward to another exciting clash, one thing is certain — Preity Zinta will be cheering from the sidelines, with her trademark enthusiasm, hoping her “Sadda Punjab” squad continues their winning streak.
