This Clip of Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma Post-RCB Win Is Breaking the Internet! Watch
May 30, 2025: Royal Challengers Bangalore stormed into the final of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 with a resounding 10-wicket win over Punjab Kings in Qualifier 1 at the Mullanpur Stadium on Thursday. Emotions ran high in the RCB camp as the team produced a clinical all-round performance to seal their fourth appearance in an IPL final — their first since 2016.

RCB comprehensively outplayed PBKS, dismissing them for 101 runs and then toppling the target in just 10 overs. This marked RCB’s fourth appearance in an IPL final and their first since. Virat Kohli displayed his elation, as the sentiment was shared by his wife, Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma.
RCB bowlers, led by Suyash Sharma and Josh Hazlewood, ran through the Punjab Kings batting line-up, bundling them out for a paltry 101 in just 14.1 overs. Both Sharma and Hazlewood claimed three wickets apiece, wreaking havoc on a PBKS line-up that struggled to cope with the disciplined bowling and lively pitch conditions.
In reply, RCB made light work of the chase. England opener Phil Salt played a blinder, smashing an unbeaten 56 off just 27 balls, while Mayank Agarwal supported with an assured knock as the duo chased down the target in just 10 overs.
RCB captain Virat Kohli, who got the innings off to a fast start with two early boundaries, was dismissed in the fourth over, caught behind off Kyle Jamieson. Despite Kohli’s early exit, Salt and Agarwal steadied the ship, capitalising on Punjab’s erratic bowling and showcasing a range of attacking strokes.
The pair hammered boundaries in quick succession, with Salt especially severe on the short-pitched deliveries. A flurry of fours and sixes during the powerplay took RCB to 61/1 after six overs, effectively sealing the game. The win was met with jubilation in the RCB camp, with Kohli visibly emotional and his wife, actress Anushka Sharma, sharing in the celebration.
Earlier, PBKS never found their footing after being put into bat. Prabhsimran Singh and Shikhar Dhawan fell cheaply, while key middle-order batters failed to convert starts. Only a late flurry of boundaries helped PBKS cross the 100-run mark, which proved far too little against a red-hot RCB outfit.
With this commanding victory, RCB now advance to the final, scheduled for June 3 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, where they will aim to lift their maiden IPL trophy. Meanwhile, PBKS will have a second chance to qualify for the final when they play Qualifier 2 against the winner of the Eliminator, also at Ahmedabad on Sunday.
