January 9, 2025: Dhanashree Verma, the wife of Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal, has spoken out for the first time since rumours of their divorce took over social media. The couple, who got engaged on August 8, 2020, and tied the knot in a private ceremony on December 22, 2020, in Gurgaon, have found themselves at the center of speculation after Chahal allegedly removed all pictures with Dhanashree from his social media accounts. However, Dhanashree continues to keep pictures with Chahal on her profile, leaving fans confused and curious.

On Wednesday night, Dhanashree took to her Instagram stories to address the situation, expressing her disappointment with the rumors and online trolling. She wrote:
“The past few days have been incredibly tough for my family and me. What’s truly upsetting is the baseless writing, devoid of fact-checking, and the character assassination of my reputation by faceless trolls spreading hate.”

The choreographer, dentist, and former Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa participant went on to emphasize her commitment to staying true to herself amidst the negativity:
“I’ve worked hard for years to build my name and integrity. My silence is not a sign of weakness; it is a sign of strength. While negativity spreads easily online, it takes courage and compassion to uplift others.”

Dhanashree further added:
“I choose to focus on my truth and move forward, holding onto my values. The truth stands tall without the need for justification.”

Chahal, on the other hand, has shared two cryptic posts on Instagram in recent days, further fueling speculation. On Tuesday, he quoted Socrates in a story that read:
“Silence is a profound melody, for those who can hear it above all the noise.”

Earlier, on Saturday, Chahal shared another enigmatic message:
“Hard work spotlights the character of people. You know your journey. You know your pain. You know what all you have done to reach here. The world knows. You stand tall. You have worked with all your sweat to make your father and your mother proud. Keep standing tall like a proud son always.”

While neither party has directly confirmed or denied the rumours, their cryptic messages and public statements suggest they are navigating a challenging phase, with dignity and strength being their focus.
