Cristiano Ronaldo Makes History by Scoring 100 Goals for Al Nassr

The Portuguese star is the first footballer to record 100 goals for four different clubs, but Al Nassr loses to Al Ahli in a thrilling penalty shootout.

Hong Kong, August 24 : Cristiano Ronaldo, a famous football player, has written another golden chapter in his long and successful career. The Al Nassr striker scored his 100th goal for the Saudi club in the Saudi Super Cup final versus Al Ahli in Hong Kong. Even though Al Nassr made history, they lost 3-5 on penalties following a 2-2 draw in regular time.

Ronaldo, who joined the Saudi giants in 2023, made headlines not just for his huge deal, which made him the highest-paid athlete in the world, but also for how consistently he scored goals. With this accomplishment, the Portuguese superstar is now the first player in football history to score 100 goals for four separate teams.

He started his trip to Saudi Arabia in style. He scored his first goal in a friendly match against Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) while playing for a team made up of Al Nassr and Al Hilal. He made his Saudi Pro League debut in a 1-0 win against Al-Ettifaq, and he scored his first official goal in a draw against Al-Fateh soon after. The Portuguese master made his influence on Saudi football clear with a hat trick against Al Wehda.

Ronaldo was named Saudi Pro League Player of the Month in February 2023 after scoring eight goals and giving two assists. He scored 35 goals in the 2023–24 season, breaking Abderrazak Hamdallah’s record of 34 goals set in 2019 and becoming the league’s all-time highest scorer in a single season.

Ronaldo’s heroics also helped Al Nassr win the Arab Club Champions Cup by beating their biggest rivals, Al Hilal, with his two goals sealing the win.

Ronaldo has scored 74 goals in his 77 games in the Saudi Pro League thus far. In all of Al Nassr’s competitions, he has already scored 100 goals in 113 games, which solidifies his place as one of the best goal-scorers in football history.

Ronaldo’s recent feat shows that he is still defying age, breaking records, and inspiring millions of people around the world, even though he lost the Saudi Super Cup title.
