November 24, 2024: Virat Kohli's remarkable 81st international century in the first Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy at Perth has sparked widespread praise from cricketing legends, further cementing his place among the all-time greats of the game. This century was particularly special for a few reasons: it marked his first Test century in SENA (South Africa, England, New Zealand, and Australia) conditions in nearly six years, ending a long drought in challenging overseas conditions. His last Test ton in Australia had come at the same venue back in December 2018, and this one was also his 30th Test century overall.

Former England captain Michael Vaughan also said that Virat ton is an "omnious" sign for Australia for the rest of the series.

Kohli’s innings was a display of his vintage shot-making, as he raced to an unbeaten 100 off 143 balls, featuring eight fours and two sixes.
