Gautam Adani Applauds Employee Kay Mehta’s Inspirational Bungee Jump On Wheelchair

March 27, 2025: Gautam Adani, the chairman of the Adani Group, recently shared an inspiring video of one of his employees, Kay Mehta, who defied his disability by completing a bungee jump in Rishikesh. The remarkable feat was captured on social media and received widespread attention, as it symbolized resilience and willpower in the face of adversity.

Kay Mehta, who is differently abled, decided to take on the thrilling challenge of bungee jumping despite being in a wheelchair. Strapped into his wheelchair, he took the leap, sending a powerful message to the world: no physical limitation or fear can stop a determined spirit.

In the video shared by Gautam Adani on his X (formerly Twitter) account, he wrote, “Most people do it for the thrill. Kay Mehta, our own Adanian, did it to make a statement. From the heights of Rishikesh, strapped in his wheelchair, Kay took a leap that told the world: no odds, no fear, can stop willpower. Kay, you don’t just inspire us – you redefine what it means to be an Adanian.”

Adani’s message highlights not just Kay’s personal achievement but also reflects the larger ethos of the Adani Group, where empowerment, inclusivity, and breaking barriers are prioritized. Kay’s act was more than just a thrill-seeking adventure; it was a statement of defiance against any limitations placed by circumstances.

Gautam Adani has long been a supporter of initiatives aimed at empowering differently-abled individuals and promoting para-sports. Last year, he made headlines for supporting underprivileged cricketers, especially from Jammu and Kashmir. Through the Adani Foundation, he helped cricketer Amir Hussain Lone, who is also differently abled, by granting Rs 67.60 lakh to set up a cricket academy in his village in Anantnag, thus providing opportunities for local children, including those with disabilities.

In addition to these efforts, the Adani family, through Jeet Adani and Diva, pledged Rs 10 lakh each to 500 newly married women with disabilities, continuing their commitment to uplift the differently-abled community.

Kay Mehta’s bungee jumping adventure serves as a reminder that true courage lies in challenging one’s fears and limitations, no matter what they may be. His actions exemplify the spirit of resilience and determination that Gautam Adani and the Adani Group continue to promote, inspiring countless others to break barriers and live life to the fullest, regardless of the challenges they face.
