"I Think It's Always Great To Make A Comeback Like This..", Says Charith Asalanka After winning 3rd ODI Against Kiwis

January 11, 2025: Sri Lanka's skipper Charith Asalanka expressed his satisfaction with his team's performance after their 140-run victory in the third and final ODI against New Zealand at Eden Park, Auckland. The win prevented New Zealand from completing a clean sweep, and it was a much-needed comeback for the Sri Lankan side, who had lost the first two matches of the series.

Asalanka reflected on the victory, stating, "It's always great to make a comeback like this. Unfortunately, we lost the first two, but the way the boys played today, it was a pleasure to watch and really good. Few more areas to work with fast bowlers... must give credit to the New Zealand bowlers; they put us under pressure, but we'll continue to improve. The hospitality was really nice, and we thank New Zealand for their support."
