January 20, 2025: The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 Trophy Tour recently concluded its exciting leg in England, further building anticipation for the upcoming tournament. The tour, which is part of the buildup for the ninth edition of the prestigious event, took the iconic trophy back to The Oval, the venue where Pakistan triumphed in the 2017 Champions Trophy final. The nostalgic location brought back memories of Pakistan’s memorable victory.
As part of the England tour, the Champions Trophy made its way to several famous landmarks in London, including Tower Bridge, Big Ben, the London Eye, Piccadilly Circus, and Borough Market. These stops helped showcase the global legacy of cricket while celebrating England’s vibrant culture. England wicket-keeper Jamie Smith, who will feature in his first Champions Trophy, expressed his excitement for competing in Pakistan and shared his expectations for the tournament.
Following the successful stops in countries such as Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, South Africa, Australia, and New Zealand, the Trophy Tour’s next destination is India. The trophy will engage fans with activities across iconic locations in Mumbai, Bangalore, and other cities, further amplifying excitement ahead of the tournament.
