In the women’s compound final, the Indian team, consisting of Jyothi Surekha Vennam, Madhura Dhamangaonkar, and Chikitha Taniparthi, earned a silver medal, although they lost to a dominant Mexican side 221-234. Despite the one-sided outcome, the Indian women displayed promise throughout the tournament, ultimately securing a spot on the podium.

Further adding to India’s medal tally, the mixed team of Abhishek Verma and Madhura Dhamangaonkar bagged bronze after defeating Malaysia in a low-scoring third-place match.

These impressive performances highlight India’s growing strength and consistency in compound archery on the global stage. With compound archery set to make its Olympic debut at Los Angeles 2028, featuring a mixed team event, India’s performance at the World Cup offers promising prospects for an Olympic medal in archery.
