India struggled on Day 1 of the final Test at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG), posting a modest total of 185 runs in their first innings. Rishabh Pant emerged as the top scorer with a hard-fought 40 off 98 balls, while Ravindra Jadeja (26) and Jasprit Bumrah (22) made valuable contributions down the order.

Australia’s bowling attack, led by Scott Boland (4/31) and Mitchell Starc (3/49), wreaked havoc on the Indian batting lineup. Pat Cummins (2/37) and Nathan Lyon (1/19) also chipped in with crucial breakthroughs.
