India vs England: Mohammed Siraj Five-Wicket Haul Snatches 6-Run Victory for India
August 4, 2025: India won the last Test against England at The Oval by a thrilling six runs, thanks to a great five-wicket haul from fast bowler Mohammed Siraj. The triumph, which at one point seemed unthinkable, levels the series at 2-2 and makes sure that India holds the new Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy.
England only needed 35 runs to win on Day 5, and they still had four wickets left. Siraj got three key wickets in the morning, which destroyed England’s chances. India’s bowlers did a remarkable job of coming back after being behind for most of the game, aided to fellow pacer Prasidh Krishna, who got four wickets.
The tide reversed back in India’s favor late on Day 4 when Joe Root and Harry Brook, who had both scored hundreds, were out. Siraj’s speed and accuracy never wavered on the last day, which was the key to the remarkable win, as he knocked out the England tail.
The young Indian team, led by captain Shubman Gill, achieved history by coming back to win the series. They have a lot of heart to come back from behind.
