March 15, 2025: All IPL 2025 Captains Confirmed: Axar Patel to Lead Delhi Capitals
As the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 gears up for its grand opening on March 22, all ten franchises have finalized their captains. With Axar Patel taking charge of Delhi Capitals, a fresh wave of leadership takes over the world’s biggest T20 league.

The upcoming 18th season of IPL will witness a significant shift in leadership, with young and emerging captains replacing stalwarts like MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, and Rohit Sharma, who have been synonymous with the tournament’s history.
Pat Cummins, leading Sunrisers Hyderabad, is the only overseas captain this season, while the remaining nine teams will be led by Indian players.
