Gujarat Titans (GT) have suffered a significant blow ahead of their upcoming match against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on April 12, as star all-rounder Glenn Phillips has been ruled out of the remainder of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season due to a groin injury. The injury occurred during the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on April 6, leaving Phillips unable to continue his campaign for the defending champions.

Despite being bought by Gujarat Titans for his base price of Rs 2 crore at the IPL mega auction, Phillips has yet to make an appearance for the franchise this season. The New Zealand all-rounder’s absence is a notable setback for GT, as they look to maintain their strong performance in the ongoing season.

In a statement, the Gujarat Titans wished Phillips a speedy recovery, acknowledging the impact his injury has had on the team’s plans for the remainder of the tournament. The franchise will now look to adjust their lineup as they prepare for the crucial match against LSG.

With Phillips unavailable, Gujarat Titans’ updated squad now includes players like Sai Sudharsan, Shubman Gill (captain), Jos Buttler (wicketkeeper), and other key members, including Rashid Khan, Prasidh Krishna, Rahul Tewatia, and more. The team will be eager to adjust without Phillips and keep their momentum going in the competition.
