Punjab Kings skipper hails team’s all-round effort and lauds Prabhsimran Singh’s match-winning knock after dominating Lucknow Super Giants in Dharamshala.

Kangra (Himachal Pradesh), May 5:
Punjab Kings (PBKS) skipper Shreyas Iyer showered praise on Prabhsimran Singh and his teammates after a commanding 37-run win over Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamshala. The victory lifted PBKS to second place on the IPL 2025 points table, with 15 points from 11 games.

Elated, to be honest. Everyone stepped up at the right time. The contribution was immense from each and every individual. Prabhs, the way he performed today, was exceptional,” Iyer said during the post-match presentation. “All the shots played were delightful to watch.”

Responding to a question about Punjab’s historically poor record at Dharamshala (5 wins in 13 previous matches), Iyer said he wasn’t aware and focused only on winning. “We’ve been lucky because of the hard work and commitment. Everyone knows their roles well. We just need to improve our on-field awareness and movement. Results matter – and that means winning.
