During a live broadcast on SportsTak, a sports anchor lost his composure while discussing Rishabh Pant’s poor start in IPL 2025, smashing a television screen and nearly toppling a glass table in an unhinged moment that has since gone viral.

Pant, who was picked by Lucknow Super Giants for a record ₹27 crore, has so far failed to justify his massive price tag. After a duck in the first match against Delhi Capitals, he followed it up with a sluggish 15 off 15 balls against Sunrisers Hyderabad. Despite LSG’s win, Pant’s performance was underwhelming—especially given the blistering efforts from Nicholas Pooran (70 off 26) and Mitchell Marsh (52 off 26) that drove the team to victory in just 16.1 overs.

As the post-match panel dissected Pant’s contribution, the anchor exploded in frustration:

“IPL is going on. He (Rishabh Pant) had his chance, but I’m telling you—he has become predictable. You cannot trust him. What sort of a captain is he? We don’t need a captain like him!”
