B Praak to Perform Tribute to Armed Forces Before PBKS vs DC IPL Match in Dharamshala
May 08, 2025: Celebrated singer and composer B Praak will deliver a live tribute performance for the Indian Armed Forces ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) clash between Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Delhi Capitals (DC) on Thursday at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamshala.
The event, announced via the official IPL X handle, is designed to honour the spirit and sacrifices of India’s military personnel, especially in the wake of the Indian Armed Forces’ precision strikes on terror targets in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK) following the recent Pahalgam terror attack.
“Dharamshala, get ready to sing with pride! B Praak brings the nation’s sound on a night of patriotism and notes echoing India’s spirit. With soulful melodies & powerful anthems, unite to celebrate our great culture. A tribute to the heart of Bharat!” the IPL statement read.
B Praak is expected to perform patriotic songs and melodies aimed at invoking national pride and celebrating the cultural unity of India.
Meanwhile, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has received clearance from the government to proceed with Thursday’s match in Dharamshala. However, PBKS’s next match, originally scheduled for May 11 in the same venue, has been moved to Mumbai due to disruptions in air travel across parts of northern, northwestern, and central India. Airlines have suspended several flights in those regions until May 10, prompting a potential rework of the PBKS-DC fixture.
