Tristan Stubbs of the Delhi Capitals capped off a standout season in the Indian Premier League (IPL) with a remarkable performance against the Lucknow Super Giants at Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium on Tuesday.
Stubbs delivered a thrilling innings, scoring an unbeaten 57 off just 25 balls, which included three fours and four sixes, achieving an impressive strike rate of 228.00. Additionally, he contributed with the ball, taking a crucial wicket of Ayush Badoni.
Throughout the season, Stubbs has been a consistent performer for Delhi Capitals, amassing 378 runs in 13 innings at an average of 54.00 and a striking rate of 190.90, including three half-centuries. His season-best score was an unbeaten 71, making him the 16th highest scorer for DC this season.
More impressively, Stubbs has excelled in the death overs. He scored 173 runs from just 54 deliveries in overs 18 to 20, boasting a strike rate of 320.40 with minimal dismissals. He hit 13 fours and 15 sixes in these critical overs. Leading the charts in death overs scoring this season, Stubbs racked up 252 runs at a strike rate of 262.5, outperforming other notable players like Dinesh Karthik of RCB.
