IPL 2025 Latest Update: RCB vs KKR Overs To Be Reduced From 8:45 PM, After Rain Delays Toss

Rain plays spoilsport as Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Kolkata Knight Riders await toss; cut-off time for a 5-over match is 10:56 PM.

Bengaluru | May 17, 2025 — The much-anticipated IPL 2025 clash between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium has been delayed due to persistent rainfall in the city. The toss, which was scheduled for 7 PM IST, is yet to take place.

The rain intensity has now reduced, and with the venue’s top-tier drainage system, officials remain optimistic about getting some play underway tonight.

According to the latest update, overs will start being deducted from 8:45 PM IST. The cut-off time for a five-overs-a-side match is 10:56 PM, giving organizers a generous window to conduct at least a shortened game.
