Dropped from India’s recent squads, Ishan Kishan let his bat do the talking, bringing up his century in just 45 balls, eventually finishing unbeaten on 106 off 47 deliveries. The left-hander struck cleanly, combining brute power with finesse, hitting sixes and scooping boundaries at will. His knock included a stunning final-over assault that nearly broke SRH’s own IPL record of 287.

Jofra Archer, returning with high expectations, had a night to forget. His final figures of 4-0-76-0 now stand as the most expensive bowling spell in IPL history. Tushar Deshpande was the only bright spot with a couple of late wickets, including a double strike in the final over.
Sunrisers’ 286-run total is now the second-highest in IPL history, and the franchise continues to dominate the list of highest scores.
