As the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 gears up for another thrilling season, former Indian cricketer Lakshmipathy Balaji has emphasized the tournament’s significant role in shaping Indian cricket, particularly in the nation’s recent ICC T20 World Cup 2024 and ICC Champions Trophy 2025 victories.
📢 “A lot of credit for India’s two back-to-back ICC trophies goes to the IPL—its franchise owners, leadership groups, and the entire ecosystem they have built,” Balaji stated ahead of the IPL 2025 opener between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB).
