
Jadeja's iconic moment with Dhoni during IPL 2023 final
Ravindra Jadeja, Star India all-rounder, remembers the jubilant embrace from MS Dhoni, captain of Chennai Super Kings (CSK), after leading the team to its fifth IPL victory by defeating Gujarat Titans in the 2023 final. In a nail-biting finale, with CSK needing 10 runs from the final two balls, Jadeja’s expertise shone through as he scored a crucial six and a four off Mohit Sharma, tipping the scales in CSK’s favor.
CSK shared this memorable moment on social media, featuring Jadeja with an image of Dhoni lifting him in celebration, captioned as “The moment from The Man himself” on X.
Jadeja’s contribution to IPL is unparalleled, being the first to achieve over 2500 runs and 150 wickets, amassing 2692 runs and 152 wickets in 226 matches. Last season, he impressively snagged 20 wickets in 16 games, alongside scoring 190 runs with a strike rate of 142.86.
The 17th IPL season is set to commence on March 22, with Dhoni’s defending champions, CSK, facing off against Royal Challengers Bangalore in a thrilling South Indian derby at the MA Chidambaram Stadium.
