Kagiso Rabada Joins Gujarat Titans, Excited for New Journey
New Delhi, November 25 – South African pacer Kagiso Rabada has been signed by Gujarat Titans (GT) for a hefty Rs 10.75 crore in the IPL 2025 mega auction. The former IPL champions secured the world-class bowler after a fierce bidding war involving Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Mumbai Indians (MI).
Expressing his excitement, Rabada shared a video message on Gujarat Titans’ official social media handle.
“Hey guys, this is KG here. I am so thrilled to be joining the Gujarat Titans family. I can’t wait to get into the camp, make some good memories, do my best and also make some good friends too,” Rabada said.
Rabada is one of the most sought-after pacers in world cricket:
In the IPL, Rabada has previously played for Delhi Capitals (DC) and Punjab Kings (PBKS):
Speaking about the team’s performance in the auction so far, GT’s director of cricket Vikram Solanki expressed satisfaction with the squad they are building.
“We’re very happy with the team we’ve got. There’s a small number of players in these first two sets and we played our part, according to our plan. The team is starting to take shape, but we still need to fill slots and be smart. Actually, a number of very good players come tomorrow as well,” Solanki told ESPNcricinfo.
Rabada’s signing bolsters Gujarat Titans’ pace attack significantly as they gear up for the IPL 2025 season. With Rabada’s experience and skill, GT will look to make a strong push for their second IPL title.
