April 1, 2025: Guwahati – The Rajasthan Royals clinched their first win of IPL 2025 by defeating Chennai Super Kings in Guwahati, but what really caught fans’ attention—besides the thrilling win—was a surprise appearance in the stands.

Bollywood actor Malaika Arora was spotted watching the game wearing an RR jersey, sitting next to the franchise’s Director of Cricket Kumar Sangakkara. Her appearance sparked an instant buzz online, with fans curious about the unexpected crossover of glamour and cricket.
“Fashion meets cricket! Malaika in RR blues with Sangakkara—didn’t see that coming,” one user wrote on X (formerly Twitter), while another asked jokingly, “Is she RR’s new lucky charm?”
Meanwhile, Sanju Samson, the Royals’ regular skipper, flew to Bengaluru on Monday to undergo tests at the BCCI’s Centre of Excellence (CoE). The outcome will determine whether he’s cleared to resume wicketkeeping duties following surgery on his right index finger.

Until now, Samson has played only as a batter and impact substitute, with Riyan Parag leading the team in the first three matches.
