Phil Salt Does Not Train Before Final IPL Clash: Fans Question Absence, RCB Silent

According to an ESPNCricinfo report, Salt is not in the city at all, instead accompanying his partner during the expected birth of their first child. This absence could prove a major blow to RCB’s title hopes, as the English batter has been in scintillating form this season — amassing 387 runs in 12 matches at a blistering strike rate of 175.90.

Interestingly, RCB’s head coach Andy Flower and captain Rajat Patidar have remained tight-lipped about Salt’s availability. In fact, Flower has previously had even injured players go through warm-ups to keep opponents second-guessing the final playing XI.

RCB’s alternative options for an opening partner for Kohli are limited. With Jacob Bethell unavailable due to international duty, either Tim Seifert, signed as a replacement earlier in the season, or Mayank Agarwal could step in to fill the void at the top of the order.
