Former India cricketer Parthiv Patel recently discussed Punjab Kings (PBKS) skipper Sam Curran’s performance in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, describing it as a season to forget. Despite the overall challenges, Patel highlighted Curran’s crucial contributions to the team.

In IPL 2024, Curran scored 270 runs with a strike rate of 123.29 across 13 matches. On the bowling front, he picked up 16 wickets, though with a high economy rate of 10.15.
Speaking on JioCinema, Parthiv Patel acknowledged Curran’s commendable performance against Rajasthan Royals (RR) on Wednesday. He praised the English cricketer for his ability to step up when needed most by the Punjab-based franchise.

“This was a season to forget, but he batted well today. He played a great innings, took responsibility, and played 41 balls. He took his time at the start and whenever it seemed like he was getting stuck, he pulled out some big shots. He’s experienced under pressure as an international cricketer, that is what we saw today. When Punjab needed him the most, he won them the match,” Parthiv said.
Curran’s ability to handle pressure and deliver key performances was a testament to his experience and skill, even in a challenging season for PBKS.
