June 17, 2025: India’s star opener Smriti Mandhana has reclaimed the top spot in the ICC Women’s ODI Batting Rankings, marking her return to the No. 1 position after more than six years.

The ICC announced on Tuesday that Mandhana surged ahead following a string of impressive performances, including a brilliant century in the final of the recent tri-series against Sri Lanka and South Africa in Colombo. This marks her 11th ODI century and a powerful return to form.

Mandhana overtakes South Africa captain Laura Wolvaardt, who lost 19 points after two modest scores (27 and 28) against the West Indies. Wolvaardt now shares second place with England’s Nat Sciver-Brunt.

  • Tazmin Brits (up 5 places to 27th)
  • Sune Luus (up 7 places to 42nd)
  • Shemaine Campbelle (up 7 spots to 62nd)
  • Qiana Joseph (up 12 places to equal 67th)

In the bowling rankings, West Indies’ Afy Fletcher jumps four spots to 19th after a standout 4-wicket performance. South Africa’s Nonkululeko Mlaba and Chloe Tryon also climbed six positions each after solid displays. Mlaba is now 35th on the list of ODI all-rounders after her four-wicket haul.

England’s Sophie Ecclestone continues to lead the ODI bowling charts.
