Jack Draper Hits Pause: Arm Injury Rules Him Out of US Open
British No. 1 Jack Draper has confirmed he will be sidelined for at least a month due to a left arm injury, ruling him out of the Canadian Open (Toronto) and the Cincinnati Open — two key events in the lead-up to the US Open.
Draper, 22, shared the update following his second-round Wimbledon loss to Marin Čilić earlier this month. Although he described the injury as “nothing serious,” he emphasized the need to fully recover before returning to competition.
“After Wimbledon I picked up an injury in my left arm, nothing serious, but I have to make sure it recovers fully for the rest of the season,” Draper said.
“Unfortunately, I won’t be able to compete in Toronto and Cincinnati. See you in NYC!”
Meanwhile, British tennis fans will shift attention to Emma Raducanu, who returns to the court in Washington, with tennis great Martina Navratilova urging her to “commit to a coach” as she works to regain form.
