Silverstone, July 8, 2025 — Lando Norris lit up his home crowd with a thrilling victory at the British Grand Prix 2025, navigating ever-changing weather to claim his eighth career win and first at Silverstone. McLaren teammate Oscar Piastri followed him home in P2, while Nico Hulkenberg delivered a dream drive from P19 to P3 — securing his maiden F1 podium after 239 starts.

Starting dry, the race quickly turned chaotic as rain swept through the circuit early on. Max Verstappen, who began from pole, lost grip — both figuratively and literally — after a fierce early battle with Piastri. The Australian took the lead just before conditions worsened, with the Safety Car making multiple appearances throughout the afternoon.

The decisive moment came when Piastri was handed a 10-second penalty for excessive slowing during a Safety Car restart. Serving it during his pit stop, Norris inherited the lead and never looked back, ultimately finishing 6.812s ahead of his teammate.
