UP Yoddhas aim to bounce back with win in their first home game of season 10: Pro Kabaddi League

After a two-season break, the UP Yoddhas are prepared to return to their native Noida. Friday marks the Yoddhas’ first home match of the Pro Kabaddi League’s tenth season, and they hope to start the season strong by defeating the Bengaluru Bulls. The Yoddhas, who lost their most recent game 30-38 to the Gujarat Giants, are now in tenth place in the standings with 15 points and a 15-point margin of victory. They will undoubtedly have the backing of their home crowd going into this game. On December 29, 2023, starting at 9:00 p.m. (IST), UP Yoddhas vs. Bengaluru Bulls will be televised live on Star Sports Network.

There have been 14 meetings between the Yoddhas and the Bulls, with the Bulls emerging victorious nine times. In their first meeting of the season, the Yoddhas lost 36–38, just missing the victory. “We are thrilled to return to our home base after a long wait,” said Jasveer Singh, Head Coach of the UP Yoddhas, prior to the match. The team is working hard in practice, and I have no doubt that the outcome of our upcoming home crowd game will be favourable.”

Star raider Surender Gill of the UP Yoddhas has been making waves with his amazing performances. With 56 successful raids and 75 raid points, Gill is currently ranked third and fourth in the league, respectively. Captain Pardeep Narwal, also known as the Dubki King, is leading the team from the front and providing him with support. He has 43 raid points to his name.

With 22, 19, and 17 tackle points respectively, Nitesh Kumar, Gurdeep, and Sumit have been a formidable trio for the Yoddhas defence. The home crowd will be hoping for a thrilling display from these players and a return to winning ways for the Yoddhas. With 62 raid points, Bengaluru Bulls’ star raider Bharat is the man who can really hurt the Yoddhas’ defence. The seasoned Surjeet Singh and Saurabh Nandal will try to make it difficult for the Yoddhas’ raiders in defence. They have both been playing well.
