Lionel Messi Scores Unbelievable Goal as Inter Miami Wins 4-2 Over Montreal-Watch

May 29, 2025: Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez delivered dazzling performances as Inter Miami secured a 4-2 Major League Soccer victory over visiting Montreal on Wednesday.

Messi opened the scoring in the 27th minute and set up Suarez’s first goal in the 68th minute to give Miami a 2-0 advantage. Suarez found the net again in the 71st minute before Montreal’s Dante Sealy pulled one back in the 74th. Messi added his second of the night in the 87th minute, with Victor Loturi scoring a late consolation for Montreal in stoppage time.

The win lifts Inter Miami to sixth in the Eastern Conference with seven wins and five draws from 15 matches, while Montreal remains stuck at the bottom with just one win.

“We had to take responsibility for the poor results,” Suarez said, reflecting on Miami’s previous four-match winless run. “This win means a lot. We have to keep building on this confidence.”

Inter coach Javier Mascherano expressed concern over injuries to defenders Gonzalo Lujan, Tomas Aviles, and Jordi Alba. “We needed to cut the negative dynamic,” he said. “I’m happy with the win but worried about the injuries.”

Elsewhere In MLS
League leader Philadelphia Union edged Toronto FC 2-1 with goals from Nathan Harriel and Kai Wagner after Norway’s Ola Brynhildsen put Toronto ahead in the 75th minute. The Union leads the league with 33 points.
