March 22, 2025: New Zealand’s fast bowler Matt Henry has been ruled out of the final two T20Is against Pakistan due to injury concerns. Henry, who sustained a right shoulder injury during the ICC Champions Trophy semi-final against South Africa, will continue his injury rehabilitation program. He had been included in New Zealand’s squads for the fourth and fifth T20Is, despite dealing with a shoulder injury and an ongoing left knee issue.
As a result, Canterbury pace-bowler Zak Foulkes, who has already featured in the first two games, will remain with the squad. Foulkes delivered a solid performance in the first two matches, with figures of 1/11 and 0/32 in three overs each.
In another change to the squad, pacer Kyle Jamieson, who starred with a match-winning performance in the series opener (3/8), has also been omitted after struggling in the third T20I. Jamieson was expensive in the third match, conceding 0/54, and will be replaced by Will O’Rourke for the remaining games.

New Zealand currently leads the five-match series 2-1, with Pakistan having bounced back in the third T20I by chasing down a challenging 205-run target to win by 9 wickets. The Kiwis had won the first two games, giving them a strong advantage heading into the final matches.
The updated New Zealand squad for the last two T20Is against Pakistan includes:
- Michael Bracewell (captain)
- Finn Allen
- Mitchell Hay (wk)
- Tim Robinson
- Tim Seifert (wk)
- Mark Chapman
- Zakary Foulkes
- Daryl Mitchell
- James Neesham
- Jacob Duffy
- Will O’Rourke
- Ben Sears
- Ish Sodhi
