Skipper and veteran drag-flicker Harmanpreet Singh emphasized the importance of the tour:“This European leg is crucial as we face some of the world’s top teams. While our Bhubaneswar leg had mixed results, we’re in a strong position and will aim for maximum points to stay on course for World Cup qualification.”
Echoing his captain’s views, Vice-captain Hardik Singh added,“Our recent training camp was very productive. The energy in the squad is electric. These games will test us and help us improve even more.”
Currently sitting third in the Pro League standings with 15 points, Team India is focused on bolstering their position and securing a spot in the 2026 FIH Hockey World Cup. The European leg is not just another tour—it’s a defining phase in their road to global glory.
