February 18, 2025: Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) secured an impressive eight-wicket victory over Delhi Capitals (DC) in their Women’s Premier League (WPL) encounter on Monday, thanks to an all-round performance from their players. Skipper Smriti Mandhana led from the front with an explosive half-century, while Renuka Singh and Georgia Wareham shone with the ball, helping RCB to restrict DC to a modest total.

Former India captain Mithali Raj took to JioHotstar to praise Danni Wyatt-Hodge’s contribution in the match. Raj noted that although Wyatt-Hodge was initially tentative at the start of her innings, she found her rhythm and confidence as the match progressed.

“She was a bit tentative at the start, but once she got a few runs, she settled in. The way she lifted her bat and accumulated runs showed her class. As the innings progressed, she played with more conviction, adjusting to every move and variation from the opposition. She steadily grew in confidence, making full use of every opportunity presented to her,” Raj said.

RCB’s dominant performance in this match now puts them at the top of the WPL points table with two wins from two matches, while DC sits third with one win and one loss. RCB’s all-around display in the match was a statement of intent, and the team is looking forward to continuing their successful run in the competition.
