Despite falling behind early when former Liverpool player Dominic Solanke scored for Tottenham in the 12th minute, Liverpool responded ruthlessly. Luis Diaz equalised four minutes later, followed by goals from Alexis Mac Allister (24’) and Cody Gakpo (34’), giving the hosts a commanding 3-1 lead at half-time.

Salah added Liverpool’s fourth goal in the 63rd minute, further cementing the title win. His celebration—a joyous run to the Kop Stand where he took a selfie with the ecstatic fans—instantly went viral. The Egyptian star later posted the moment on his social media, delighting millions worldwide.

A Destiny Udogie own goal in the 69th minute completed Tottenham’s misery and confirmed Liverpool’s emphatic victory.

Salah’s goal also saw him surpass Sergio Aguero as the Premier League’s highest-scoring international player. Speaking after the game, Salah highlighted the tactical differences under new manager Arne Slot compared to Jurgen Klopp.

“You can see the numbers. Now I don’t have to defend much. The tactics are different. I told him, ‘As long as you rest me defensively, I will deliver offensively,’ and he listened,” Salah explained. “My assists show that you can create chances too.”

This title marks Liverpool’s second Premier League trophy after their 2019-20 triumph and their 20th English top-flight title overall—bringing them level with Manchester United for the most in history.
