MS Dhoni Witty Reply to a Fan About His IPL Future Goes Viral
In a video that has gone viral, the CSK legend gave a witty reply to a fan’s plea to play the next season. His joke about his recurring knee pain, however, left fans speculating about his future and the physical challenges he faces.
August 11, 2025: MS Dhoni and the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are the most important things in Indian cricket right now. A lot of people were even more suspicious when the 44-year-old former captain of India stated something funny but revealing last month regarding how long he would be able to play.
At a recent public function, Dhoni said that he has till December to decide whether or not to play in the IPL in 2026. He also mentioned that his knee pain is growing worse and worse. Even when a fan yelled, “You have to play, sir,” Dhoni said something that made a lot of people laugh and made the news.
“Who can help me with my sore knee?” He made a joke in Hindi, saying, “Who will help me with my knee pain?”
This honest admission illustrates how taxing his career has been on his body, especially since he had knee surgery after CSK won the title in 2023. He was notorious for playing through pain to help his team win, even putting off treatment so he could be ready for the next season.
The veteran cricketer also thought about how CSK has been doing lately. He also said that the team hasn’t been “up to the mark” in the last several years, even though they won two of the last five seasons. It’s still not clear what his future as a player will be, but his unusual mix of humor and leadership keeps him in the news.
