Mumbai Indians Face Gujarat Giants In WPL 2025 Eliminator: All Eyes On A Spot In The Final Against Delhi Capitals

March 13, 2025: The Mumbai Indians will face off against Gujarat Giants in the crucial Eliminator match of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2025 season on Thursday at Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai. The winner of this high-stakes clash will earn the right to challenge Delhi Capitals in the WPL 2025 final, scheduled for Saturday, at the same venue.

Mumbai Indians finished second in the WPL 2025 standings with 10 points after winning five out of eight league-stage encounters. However, they will be heading into the eliminator following an 11-run defeat to Royal Challengers Bengaluru on Tuesday.

Nat Sciver-Brunt, Mumbai’s top scorer with 416 runs, is the highest run-getter in WPL 2025 and will be key for the team’s batting lineup. In the bowling department, the duo of Amelia Kerr and Hayley Matthews, both having taken 14 wickets each, will lead the charge.

Gujarat Giants, who ended third in the standings with 8 points after winning four matches and losing as many, will look to bounce back from their previous nine-run loss to Mumbai. All-rounder Ashleigh Gardner has been the Giants’ standout batter, scoring 235 runs in eight games, while Kashvee Gautam has led the bowling attack with 10 wickets.

If Mumbai Indians win, they will secure their second-ever final appearance in WPL history, while Gujarat Giants will aim for their first-ever spot in the grand finale.
