On Thursday, December 28, 2023, at the AFC Football House in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the draw for the AFC Cup 2023–24 Inter-Zone Semi-Final took place, pitting Odisha FC against the ASEAN Zone Champions. After defeating Bashundhara Kings on the last day of Group D earlier this month to advance to the knockout stages in their first continental tournament, the Kalinga Warriors emerged as the AFC Cup South Zone champions.
Four teams are still in the running to be named the ASEAN Zone Champions. In the first semi-final, Macarthur FC (Australia) will play Sabah FC (Malaysia), while Central Coast Mariners FC (Australia) will play Phnom Penh Crown FC (Cambodia). On February 22, 2024, the winners will compete in the ASEAN Zone final. The winner of that match will play Odisha FC in the two-leg Inter-Zone Semi-Final. On March 6 or 7, 2024, the ASEAN Zone Champion will host the first leg of the AFC Cup 2023–24 Inter Zone Semi-Final. The return leg will take place at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar on March 13 or 14, hosted by Odisha FC.
