April 30, 2025: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has confirmed that Bangladesh will tour Pakistan for a five-match T20I series in May 2025. Originally planned as a series of three ODIs and three T20Is, both cricket boards mutually agreed to replace the ODIs with two additional T20Is ahead of the 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
The series, part of the Future Tour Programme (FTP), will take place from May 25 to June 3, with the Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad hosting the first two matches on May 25 and 27. This will mark the return of international cricket to Faisalabad after a 17-year hiatus. The last international fixture at Iqbal Stadium was an ODI between Bangladesh and Pakistan in April 2008. The remaining three matches will be held at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium on May 30, June 1, and June 3.
This historic series is expected to provide both teams with valuable T20I experience ahead of the T20 World Cup next year, while giving cricket fans a chance to witness high-stakes action at two iconic stadiums.
