January 11, 2025: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the 15-member squad for the upcoming Test series against the West Indies, scheduled to be played in Multan from January 17-21 and January 25-29. The squad includes seven changes from the team that toured South Africa. Notable inclusions are off-spinner Sajid Khan and mystery spinner Abrar Ahmed, who will partner with left-arm spinner Noman Ali to strengthen the spin department.
Openers Imam-ul-Haq and Mohammad Huraira have been recalled to replace the injured Saim Ayub and out-of-form Abdullah Shafique. To manage workload, the pace bowlers Aamir Jamal, Mohammad Abbas, Mir Hamza, and Naseem Shah have been rested, with Mohammad Ali and uncapped Kashif Ali joining the squad. Former Pakistan U19 and Shaheens’ captain Rohail Nazir has been included as a wicketkeeper-batter, replacing Haseebullah, who is sidelined with an injury.
