Salt’s absence from RCB’s pre-final training session has fueled speculation about his availability for the IPL 2025 final, with the franchise yet to make an official statement.

Star opener Phil Salt was notably absent from RCB’s practice session at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium on the eve of the clash, adding a layer of uncertainty ahead of the title decider.
According to an ESPNCricinfo report, Salt is not in the city at all, instead accompanying his partner during the expected birth of their first child. This absence could prove a major blow to RCB’s title hopes, as the English batter has been in scintillating form this season — amassing 387 runs in 12 matches at a blistering strike rate of 175.90.
Interestingly, RCB’s head coach Andy Flower and captain Rajat Patidar have remained tight-lipped about Salt’s availability.
