PSL 2025 Confirms Comeback: Full Details on Restart & Final Date
May 13, 2025: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially confirmed that the remainder of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025 will resume on May 17, with the grand finale scheduled for May 25.

PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi made the announcement on Tuesday via X (formerly Twitter), reigniting excitement among fans after the tournament was abruptly suspended last week due to escalating cross-border tensions.
“HBL PSL X picks up from where it left off. 6 teams, 0 fear. Get ready for 8 thrilling matches starting 17th May, leading up to the Grand Final on 25th May. Best of luck to all the teams!” Naqvi posted.
Although the dates are now confirmed, the revised schedule and match venues are still under discussion. Sources suggest that all remaining fixtures are expected to be held in Pakistan, with franchises showing urgency to conclude the season smoothly.
According to ESPNcricinfo, the PCB held a meeting with franchise representatives on Monday to evaluate possible hosting options and logistics.
A major concern remains the availability of foreign players, many of whom may not return due to international commitments or security concerns. This could impact the competitive balance of several teams. To address these challenges, the PCB is reportedly considering a replacement draft to allow teams to fill the gaps with new signings.
This revised PSL schedule has clashed with Bangladesh’s planned tour of Pakistan, originally set to begin on May 25 with a T20I in Faisalabad. With the PSL final now scheduled for the same day, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has stated that tour discussions are “active and ongoing,” suggesting a likely postponement or rescheduling of the five-match T20I series.
