The Rajasthan Royals (RR) camp is buzzing with more than just high-octane cricket this IPL 2026. In a light-hearted video that has taken social media by storm, 15-year-old batting sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi was spotted enjoying a moment of pure childhood joy playing with a remote-controlled toy car during a practice session.

The “prodigy” of the season, who recently made headlines for being the youngest player to score a century in men’s T20 cricket, was seen expertly maneuvering the miniature vehicle across the practice turf. Watching the scene unfold, a member of the RR support staff could be heard jokingly shouting, “Driving license nahi hai uske paas!” (He doesn’t have a driving license!), poking fun at the teenager’s age. The remark, caught on camera, instantly went viral, garnering millions of views as fans fell in love with the blend of Sooryavanshi’s elite talent and his innocent off-field antics.

Ashwin’s Witty “Salute” to the Young Duo

The fun didn’t stop at the toy car. Following Rajasthan’s recent high-scoring victory over the Mumbai Indians (MI) at the ACA Stadium in Guwahati, veteran spinner R. Ashwin took to X (formerly Twitter) to keep the banter alive. During the match, commentators Harbhajan Singh and Suresh Raina were seen “saluting” the boundary blitz by Sooryavanshi (39 off 14) and Yashasvi Jaiswal (who anchored the chase).

Ashwin, in his trademark witty style, called out his long-time friend Cheteshwar Pujara for a “half-hearted” salute in the stands:

“Mera bhi salute but, my dear friend Pujara didn’t salute properly. Look at the kids going at it!”

The playful exchange highlighted the incredible camaraderie within the Royals squad, which currently sits near the top of the IPL 2026 Points Table after a hat-trick of wins.
