Rohit is staying back in India to attend the birth of his second child and is expected to join the squad ahead of the second Test in Adelaide, commencing on December 6. Shubman Gill Doubtful for First Test

The report also indicates that opener Shubman Gill may miss the first Test due to a left-hand injury sustained while fielding in the slips during an intra-squad match. Gill did not return to the field on the second day, and his availability for the series opener remains uncertain.
