SCA Reveals Schedule and Venue for Saurashtra Pro T20 League 2025

May 27, 2025: The Saurashtra Cricket Association (SCA) has officially unveiled the schedule and venue for the highly anticipated Saurashtra Pro T20 League (SPTL), set to take place from June 7 to 20 at the iconic Niranjan Shah Stadium in Rajkot.

SPTL 2025 will feature five franchise teams representing historic regions of Saurashtra and Kutch: Anmol Kings Halar, Aryan Sorath Lions, Dita Gohilwad Titans, Zalawad Strikers, and JMD Kutch Riders. The tournament will consist of approximately 21 high-intensity matches, including the final.

A players’ draft is scheduled for Tuesday, with around 125 players divided into three categories. All coaches and support staff will be drawn from the SCA, while franchises may invite former national or international players as mentors to guide their squads.

In a press conference held at Niranjan Shah Stadium, SPTL Chairman Jayveer Shah explained the league’s expanded format. “Each team will now play two league matches, increasing the total number of games and raising the competitive standard of the tournament,” he said. “This is a significant step forward from the previous format, where teams played only one match.”

SCA President Jaydev Shah emphasized the league’s broader vision. “The Saurashtra Pro T20 League marks an exciting new chapter for cricket in the region. It is designed to elevate local talent, providing a professional platform for emerging players to gain exposure and experience high-quality T20 cricket,” he said.

The league is expected to serve as a launchpad for local talent to progress to the national stage, including the IPL and Team India. “We aim to build confidence among our players and offer them infrastructure and competition that will prepare them for higher levels of the game,” added Shah.

With top-tier infrastructure, experienced mentors, and an expanded match schedule, SPTL 2025 promises to be a thrilling celebration of cricket in Saurashtra and Kutch.
